while I was away...

So, how have y'all been doing? We've had an interesting and busy couple of weeks, so let's get to it...

My newish laptop DUH-IEEED on me a week or so ago, so I have been on a forced computer break. The 'puter had to be shipped to never-never land to get fixed, but I anticipate having it back soon!

A few weeks ago, Ella attended a fine-arts camp with her buddy John David. They spent all week doing incredible art projects. They were also able to choose which specialty area they would like to work on, and Ella chose set design and costumes. Here she is in one of the costumes she helped make... she was a tree in the end of the week performance.

After the dust settled from Ty's birthday celebration, we geared up for the 4th of July. The day started off with buckets and buckets of rain, but by mid afternoon, the sun was out and the celebrating began. We went to our neighbor's house for a yummy bbq chicken dinner. Right before dinner, there was a little accident. It involved Ty, his forehead, and the wrong end of a Star Wars light saber. He ended up with a giant golf ball sized goose egg on his noggin. After icing it down, Ty was back to himself and started playing. Well, before we knew it, he fell and hit his head, again. We watched him very closely, and about an hour later, he started vomiting. So, off to the E.R. we went. After a more vomiting at the E.R. and a CT scan (and many hours waiting with a very sleepy boy) we were sent home at 3:30 a.m. with a good report. I wish I had pictures of his noggin, but at the time, I wasn't thinking "photo op!" So, these two pictures are the only two pictures I got on the 4th!

The other day there was a tiny drizzle when we were out playing on the driveway with chalk. Before I knew it my kids, and all the neighbors, were huddled under various umbrellas with their chalk! Too cute!

Ella found a cozy spot to enjoy a book.

Mr. Cash got to try out the jumperoo while we were out playing. I am not sure that he loved it, but don't think he hated it.

These brothers already love each other so much! Here is Ty giving Cash some shade with his umbrella! Notice his haircut? :( This was the necessary fix after his antics a few weeks ago. In case you couldn't tell in the picture on my last post, Ty took a pair of my scissors and cut several giant chunks out of his luscious and thick blond hair... right in the middle of his head, all the way down to the scalp. Sadly, it took me the better part of the day to "get over it!" Just ask Ty's birth mom! The little bugger cut his hair 2o minutes before we were heading to meet her for lunch... and I was still blazing mad when we got to lunch!

Cash found his tongue this week!
On Friday, this sweet baby ran a fever, and was so pathetic and sad. I took him to the doctor just to make sure it was nothing more than a little virus, and sure enough, after 24 hours, he was completely back to normal! He sure had his momma scared there for a while though!

Ella spent the week in a tennis camp, and loved it! It was her first time to pick up a racquet, and she did well! I wish I had taken her picture in her tennis skirt and tank and her pink racquet, but again, I forgot!

Ty had his first dental appointment this week with daddy now that he is a big 3 year old! Oh my! He did so great! He absolutely loved having his "teef" cleaned! He kept licking the polish off as Cathy applied it! I absolutely love these pictures, and I have the exact same pictures of Ella at her first appointment!

(you can kind of make out the remaining bruise on his forehead from the 4th of July accident)

I went to a fun wedding on Friday night, while Micah stayed home with the sick baby (and big kids too.) On Saturday, Micah and I were able to sneak away for a movie and delicious dinner at PF Chang's (thanks mom and dad!) to celebrate Micah's birthday. Today (his actual birthday) we hung out at my folk's pool and celebrated with ice cream cake, strawberry pie, and pizza! Happy Birthday Micah! The kids and I love you so much!
Whew! I told you we've been busy... I am loving this summer fun with my family!

Ah man! I have missed you guys! I love the picture and the updates. You are right momma...you've been busy! Love the teef cleaning pictures and so impressed that Ty let Micah work on him. The boys rarely let Blake look them over.

Love those sweet pics of Cash...that boy is so stinking adorable! Give him kisses from Sadie cakes!

My daughter loved the pics of the kids under umbrellas in the driveway. So, if it ever rains up here, I have a feeling she will be pulling out the umbrellas to do the same thing. :)

Cash's tie onesie is sooo cute! Where did you get it? He is getting so big! And I must know about Ella's fine arts camp too. Clayton would love to do something like that. I think Ty looks cute with his little shaved head:) Heather's sister just shaved off all of Carsyn's hair and I am enjoying not having to fix it everyday. I'm glad you are all doing well.
